The Department of Corrections has included some tools like Doc offender Locator, State prisoner lookup, and Doc inmate Search to make it easier to locate offenders. The most common is the offender information tracking system.

Why The Offender Information Tracking System?

The system contains information ranging from all the parolees, prisoners, and probationers who are under supervision. The Offender Tracking Information System includes all data of all released prisoners from three years and below.

It is absurd that it does not keep information for offenders beyond the three years of discharge, though it serves a great purpose in the end. Not many states can come up with such a unique tracking system.

Additionally, the Offender Tracking Informations System rarely associates with any information not under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act. Mainly, the act comprises various regulations that allow access to prisoners’ data.

If anyone goes against the regulations listed in Acts when tracing or searching for an inmate, the law eventually takes action. You wouldn’t want to land in any Michigan correctional Facility after failing to adhere to the law’s requirements, right?

Offender Search

Locating an offender is now a walk in the park with the available web applications. Michigan has come up with a corrections offender Network, a site to perform a comprehensive search of all databases.

However, in different scenarios, it provides criteria options for information related to a shared database. In this case, to locate an offender from the Date of imprisonment, the system will direct you to a fugitive information search and no other database.

It is a simple way of solving all the confusion that might appear when searching for a particular inmate, and you end up having various contact information.

Other databases that the Application Network has are inmate information release searches. For the interest of Michigan Public Safety, the state allocates the inmate’s picture nearing the date of release or scheduled to be released.

The website updates the information nightly. The public wakes up to find the prisoner’s date of release and attached faces. Also, it provides information for inmates who have escaped prison and those under close supervision.

The Michigan Offender search tool ensures the public can access all information of their choice regarding their imprisoned kin.

To do this:

Step 1: Visit the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) web, read the information, and agree.

Step 2:  Search with the name by accessing the MDOC website.

Step 3: If you are searching for John, use the first name, and you’ll have options of results to pick the one you are interested in.

Step 4: Click on the number to get the offender details (John David)

You can note the inmate’s details for further action.
