If you make a mistake and fill in details of an inmate in a different location and not Virginia, it will not show in the search results. It only serves offenders under the VADOC custody.

Optional information to fill includes the offender’s alias, middle name, sex, and Race. You can skip this to save time on acquiring other information provided by the site.

The Virginia DOC Offender search has a disclaimer. It enforces that it cannot display specific information to the general public. Luckily, the data depends on the type of question that a victim member can decide to ask. Some information is too sensitive to share with the public, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Sending Money to an Offender
